Do you like working in the fast-paced environment of a Maine school? Do you love working with adolescents? We have a clinical position available for a LADC, CCS Counselor Team Lead to work 32 hours per week during the school year at both Oxford Hills Regional Middle Schools and the Bruce Whittier Middle School. The Counselor Team Lead will provide substance abuse screenings, assessments and clinical counseling in a dynamic collaborative environment and supervise other program Counselors. Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience as a counselor utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, brief individual counseling skills with adolescents is desired. Candidate must have a willingness to accept the challenge of human service and educational settings, working with adolescents with emerging hopes, dreams and challenges; ability to work with a minimum of supervision; keep neat, accurate records via technology and adapt to regularly evolving regulations; must have objectivity, flexibility, understanding, empathy, patience, perseverance, and highest regard for professional ethics.
*Other Requirements: *Pre-employment SBI, DMV, DHHS, sex offender and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment. Must have the following: a valid driver’s license; telephone; computer/word-processing skills, preferably Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team.
