About Us

Maine Behavioral Healthcare (formerly Maine Mental Health Partners) is the single, unified organization created by the merger of three community mental health agencies (Community Counseling Center, Counseling Services, Inc., and Mid-Coast Mental Health Center) and Spring Harbor Hospital, southern Maine’s only nonprofit psychiatric hospital.  Maine Behavioral Healthcare is a division of MaineHealth, the state’s largest integrated healthcare system.

The new organization offers an integrated continuum of coordinated behavioral healthcare for children and adults, with better access to medical care, at more than 20 locations in southern, western and mid-coast Maine. As the only fully integrated, seamless system of behavioral healthcare with a complete range of services associated with a large healthcare system, Maine Behavioral Healthcare is a regional and national model for treating people suffering with serious mental health and substance abuse issues.
