Job Status
Provide leadership, oversight, management, and guidance with IT special projects and initiatives for the university. Provide mentoring and guidance to the IT Directors, focusing on coaching Director of Network and Infrastructure and associated team. Assist Chief Information Officer with strategy development and associated tactical plans for execution.
Responsibilities
Provide oversight and management of special projects and Implementations including projects that need attention but keep getting pushed to the side due to competing priorities.
Provide assistance with strategic Initiatives by working with CIO and other Directors (and possibly other UNE leadership) to plan for and align future IT infrastructure and IT technologies to the strategic vision and business needs of the university.
Vendor relationship management.
Provide mentoring and coaching to ITS Network team and other identified improvement areas
ITS Inter-departmental liaison when and where appropriate
Develop and maintain relationships with IT-related vendors to assist with demonstrations, procurement, and maintenance of ITS systems
Assist ITS Networking team with identification of issues, weak points, potential issues and develop and manage remediation plans
Assist IT Leadership team with special projects and IT established priorities
Assist AVP and CIO for ITS with dissemination of project updates through oral and written communications
Identify and showcase new, potential technology solutions to assist ITS with modern solutions to technology needs and identified issues
Work as part of the ITS leadership team in the development and implementation of long- and short-term initiatives to better our workflow and ability to offer superior customer service.
Research new technologies and make recommendations to the AVP and CIO for ITS .
Follow safety rules, help identify unsafe working conditions, stop co-workers who are working in an unsafe manner.
Other duties as assigned.

This position does not have any supervisory duties.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred in technology-related field or a minimum of 10 years' experience working within and IT organization managing projects and technology initiatives, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Excellent working knowledge of networking, services, and integrated technologies.

Track record of managing multiple priorities within an environment characterized by changing technical requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to be thorough and demonstrate complete follow-through in the execution of the program development strategy.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent Project Management skills.
Excellent trouble shooting skills.
Proven coaching and mentoring experience with technical teams.
