Thomas College invites applications for the position of Systems Administrator. This position reports to the Director of IT Services and will be the primary responsible person for a variety of back-end systems while also providing advanced end-user support of Thomas’s academic, administrative, and student environments. Duties will include systems administration, troubleshooting, and training in a variety of systems such as VOIP, door access, payment systems, HVAC, security cameras, and LMS).
The successful candidate will have experience delivering services to organizations, working knowledge of best practices for systems administration, and working knowledge in a variety of IT areas. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, strong prioritization skills, strong problem-solving skills, an attention to detail and a high degree of technical aptitude.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent is desired. Professional experience in the field or a related area is helpful. Experience with Windows server and various client operating systems, Azure cloud services, Microsoft Endpoint and Configuration Manager, Microsoft Office, and experience with a variety of systems is helpful.
