Thomas College seeks a dedicated, motivated professional to serve as TRIO Director. The successful candidate will administer Thomas College’s federally-funded TRIO SSS program. Responsibilities include leadership and oversight of program activities; selection, training and supervision of SSS personnel; and advocacy for SSS-eligible student populations. The Director has primary responsibility for ensuring compliance of program activities with relevant regulations and legislation. The Director collaborates with other campus departments to meet the goals of the program and represents the program to relevant outside constituencies.

Evidence of experience with SSS or closely related program is required, as is evidence of ability to advocate for SSS-eligible populations. Evidence of a working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations is required. Strong interpersonal skills and computer skills are also required. Some evening and weekend hours required. Ability to identify with SSS-populations a plus. Master’s degree required.

This is a 12-month, full-time position. Salary is contingent on grant funding with position currently funded through August 31, 2025. Thomas College offers a competitive benefits package.

The Student Support Services (SSS) Programs is a US Department of Education outreach and student services program designed to identify and provide services for disadvantaged low-income college students, first-generation college students, and college students with disabilities in the United States. The purpose of TRIO SSS is to increase the number of SSS-eligible students who successfully complete a program of study at the postsecondary level.
