The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a full time (30 hours) Awake Overnight Residential Services Technician to join our team at Morrison Place. Located in Portland, Morrison Place is a 12-bed treatment facility offering intensive individualized treatment of homeless adults with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues. In this role the successful candidate will provide direct service to residents of the program including assisting in the provision of quality treatment and service planning, providing supervision of the residents and helping to provide necessary support for accomplishing tasks of daily living, managing all aspects of medication administration, and completing client record documentation.
This is a full-time, 30 hours/week position with a 3rd shift, weekend schedule, located in Portland.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred.
- Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft office preferred.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills required.
- Flexible schedule is required.
- Must be able to able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check and must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
- Must successfully pass CNA registry check.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
- Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, driving, typing and frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area. This may include transportation of clients** or** driving to agency location to complete work. A good driving record is required
There is a shift differential for hours worked between 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
