• Position Summary

  • Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Physician Practice Supervisor provides oversight and direction to the day-to-day operations of the practice ensuring that patient care services are provided in a professional and efficient fashion. This position is responsible for supervising both clinical and administrative staff, and coordinating the daily operations to ensure a smooth workflow and optimum productivity while maintaining patient, staff and physician satisfaction. The supervisor maintains a full understanding of the operations, trains new staff and provides back-up to the administrative staff as necessary.

• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Associate's Degree in a health related field is preferred.

  • License/Certifications: N/A

  • Experience: Three to five years of experience in outpatient or hospital setting with at least two years of direct supervision experience preferred, and understanding of office practice workflow and operations.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, strong computer skills and excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills.
