Silvex, a family owned and operated advanced plating company who services industries such as aerospace, defense, firearms and medical is seeking a Laboratory Technician.

The Laboratory Technician conducts analytical or lab-based tests on a variety of chemicals, materials or products. This position will receive samples and conduct testing for the purposes of quality assurance, safety inspection, regulatory adherence, environmental impact or sample testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Technicians are responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance.

• Perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions.

• Conduct tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present conclusions.

• Perform laboratory experiments in compliance with established procedures.

• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Generate routine reports on laboratory experiments.

• Order and stock laboratory supplies and instruments.

• Handling, labeling and storage of all hazardous materials/waste and non-hazardous materials.
