Saint Joseph’s College, located on Sebago Lake, has openings in Pearson’s Cafe!

The goal of Food Services is to model a sense of campus community through interactions between our chefs, food operations staff, and student employees that are both collaborative and cooperative. Our shared focus is to nourish the body and soul of our students through the food we serve.

The Front of the House position plays a key role within the Pearson’s team by:

  • Delivering strong customer service and adhering to Pearson’s philosophy, culture and commitment to quality food, products and exemplary service
  • Representing the College in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer, client, student and employee interactions
  • Being attentive to details with the customer and client perspective in mind
  • Ensuring that the various serveries are prepared 15 minutes prior to each meal period to allow time to review and make adjustments if necessary
  • Ensuring that operating procedures are followed and executed appropriately and timely (including after peak rush times) by following the checklists
  • Adhering to cash policies and procedures; which includes reconciling cash when necessary

Assist with catering scheduled at various venues on campus by:

  • Working collaboratively with the Events staff to ensure the highest level of quality and service throughout the event
  • Ensuring events are properly staged 15 minutes prior to start
  • Listening to special requests and filling the request as needed.

Food Operations maintains a high standard for safety and sanitation by supporting the Safety Manual guidelines, providing training sessions across culinary topics, and adhering to all Health Department, OSHA and ADA regulations.

This position has flexible scheduling with night and weekend hours.
