*Position Summary: *PROMISE's Special Education Supervisor is responsible for ensuring enrolled children with disabilities receive services to which they are entitled under IDEA; work with mental health consultants to ensure a wellness approach to mental health throughout the agency for children, parents and staff; purchase adaptive materials to assist in full inclusion; and actively serve as a resource for classroom personnel and supervise assigned classroom programs.

Qualification Requirements

1. BA in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Social Services or a related field (must include a minimum of thirty-six credits or in ECE) and prior preschool experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred. Masters preferred.
2. 282 Endorsement through Maine DOE
3. Supervisory experience required.
4. Relate well to children and families.
5. Computer skills required along with effective verbal and solid writing skills.
6. Must have reliable means of transportation.
7. Flexibility and willingness to help when and where needed as part of a team.

*Program Overview: *Promise Early Education Center (PROMISE) promotes the positive growth of children, families, and staff. PROMISE provides early education/Pre-K services, full and part year, to children age 6 weeks to 5 years through home based and center programming in nine locations throughout Androscoggin County.
