Preble Street has a full-time Tenant Supervisor position opening at the Florence House. Florence House, part of Preble Street Residential Services, provides services to clients in its Housing First studio apartments, safe havens, and emergency shelter 24/7, 365 days a year, and is designed to support clients in addressing their homelessness through finding and addressing their barriers to housing. As part of the Residential Services management team, the Tenant Supervisor will work collaboratively with other supervisors and provide support (including working periodically) across all agency Residential Programs. The Supervisor will act as the lead on shifts and will manage the Florence House tenant environment, services, and coverage to ensure safety. The supervisor will oversee tenant caseworker staff in providing program coverage, maintain tenant safety, monitor the security of the building, provide crisis intervention and support, and assist tenants in overcoming barriers to stable housing. The schedule for this position: Sunday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm or Sunday-Wednesday 8:00am-6:30pm

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience • Supervisory and leadership experience • Casework experience • Hold or be eligible for MHRT-C certification • Experience working with people who are homeless and have a positive regard for clients accessing services for homelessness and poverty • Familiarity with community resources and an understanding of low-barrier service challenges • The ability to establish boundaries and set limits with a diverse population • Candidates for this position should be skilled in clear, effective communication; problem-solving; working collaboratively
