The Development Resource Assistant will work closely with the Volunteer Manager and development team, to meet client needs by recruiting, managing, and recognizing volunteers and procuring and managing distribution of donated goods. If you have experience with community outreach and volunteer and/or project management and would like to use your skills to help end hunger and homelessness, please consider this opportunity to become a full-time member of Preble Street’s development team.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Community outreach, public speaking, volunteer and/ or project management experience.
• Appreciation and understanding of issues people face who are experiencing homeless and living in poverty
. • Must have ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• The ability to establish boundaries and set limits with a diverse population.
• Familiarity with relevant community resources. • Impeccable organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Flexibility • Experience working in a team setting.
• Ability to drive a small cargo truck, with a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
