Do you have a passion for public health in Maine? Do you have program management experience? Medical Care Development, Inc. (MCD), a non-profit, public health services organization, is accepting applications for a public health professional to join our team and serve as the Senior Program Manager working with the State of Maine CDC Contact Tracing Program. This position will supervise assigned Program and Project Managers and other project staff to ensure their fulfillment of the activities and terms of the contract and ensure compliance with relevant state, federal, and local regulations in the performance of those activities. This position will also oversee hiring and training of new project staff as needed. This full-time 40-hour per week position supervises staff who work remotely and those who work at the Maine CDC offices in Augusta. This position is remote, for the time being, but will eventually be housed at MCD’s offices in Augusta. For the duration of the project, the person in this position will spend time each week at the Maine CDC office in Augusta connecting with staff and Maine CDC program directors. This is a one-year grant-funded project with a potential opportunity to continue work with MCD and create a career path to growth and development within the organization. This position is eligible for MCD’s benefit package.

Requirements

*Qualifications, Skills and Experience: *

++Required:++

Bachelor’s degree in health-related field, including public health is preferred; however, equivalent related work experience may be considered. This may include training and/or experience in planning, program development, coordination and implementation in public health, or a related health field. Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated cultural competence are essential. Detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office programs as well as any other software programs necessary to perform the job.

· Collaborative leader; able to elevate the success of colleagues, stakeholders and community.

· Ability to exercise good judgment within a context of competing priorities, agendas, and partner sensitivities.

· Years of Relevant Experience: 10+

· Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently, from office or in the community.

· Excellent interpersonal skills - communication, networking, group facilitation.

· Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities, and have a sense of urgency with deadlines.

· Demonstrated experience directly supervising staff.

· Ability to establish priorities for organization, staff, and self.

· Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with diverse partner organizations.

· Strong communication skills: ability to listen well, write, and speak effectively.

· Experienced administrator skilled in staff, contract, organizational, and financial management.

++Preferred:++

· Master’s degree in Public Health or related field preferred.

· Extensive record of accomplishment with public health improvement and organizational development.

· Evidence of successful grant writing.

· Evidence of collaboration across local, regional, and national systems and stakeholders.

· Evidence of project planning and management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

· Evidence of continuing education and professional development.
