Summary

Maine Medical Partners – Endocrinology and Diabetes Center is seeking a customer service-oriented, Patient Service Representative to join their team!

This position is primarily based in Scarborough but must be willing to travel to the Lewiston office regularly and as needed. The PSR is responsible for performing a variety of daily office functions including patient reception and appointment scheduling for a multi-physician hospital outpatient clinic.

Position Summary

The Patient Service Representative greets patients in a friendly and courteous manner, answers incoming telephone calls, schedules appointments, and performs other overall general office duties as assigned. The PSR collects, verifies, enters, and monitors patient data while complying with the federal, state and MaineHealth confidentiality policies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
2. License/Certifications: N/A
3. Experience: Previous office experience with medical office experience helpful.
4. Knowledge and skills in using office equipment.
5. Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
6. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.
8. Strong computer skills.
9. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
11. Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direct supervision.
12. Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
