Hypertherm's CNC Machine Operator position utilizes skills and knowledge to perform and maintain all manufacturing processes efficiently within our Torch and Consumable Manufacturing teams to produce consumable products for our plasma cutting systems.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on our companies success by:
- Perform manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, assembly, packaging, etc.), in an assigned manufacturing cell, in compliance with pre-existing standard work documentation
- Maintaining the quality of machined consumables, producing product in a just-in-time (JIT) environment
- Enhance machinery performances to prevent machine downtime
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to manufacture the highest priority parts to meet customer demands
- Document and communicate manufacturing process actions and irregularities to maintain continuity between shifts and decrease machine downtime
Requirements
Qualifications - Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A positive attitude and willingness and interest to learn technical material
- Excitement about working with a team and within our collaborative ownership culture
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow and process instructions
- Basic math understanding (we will work with you and provide coaching!)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to work off-shift (2nd shift - Monday - Friday - 3p - 10:30p / 3rd shift - Sunday - Thursday - 11p - 7a)
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment
- Standing for long periods of time - 8-hour shifts
- Repetitive motion
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
