Gifford in Randolph, Vermont, is seeking a Perioperative Nursing Educator. This is a unique opportunity to work in a spectacular setting at a rural, non-profit hospital with a progressive philosophy, supportive administrative team and advanced technology.

The Perioperative Nurse Educator is responsible for promoting quality, evidenced-based nursing practice through education and professional development for all nursing staff in Surgical Services, focusing on orientation and training, role competence and skill proficiency. The Educator will develop clinical education initiatives and clinical competencies. This position will collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure the implementation of current clinical and professional standards and recommendations.

The successful applicant will have strong time management. Must be able to withstand physical activity which includes the ability to move or lift at least 50 pounds. Five years of OR experience and current RN licensure by the State of Vermont and BLS certification required and previous pre-operative and/or PACU experience preferred. EOE
