Gifford , in beautiful Randolph, Vermont is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to work in our fast paced specialty clinic. This is a unique opportunity to work in a spectacular setting at a rural, non-profit hospital.

The Patient Access Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to ensuring appropriate referral, prior authorization and/or pre-certification for services, medical record send outs, chart prepping for office visits, answering phones, scheduling appointments, copying/faxing, filing,. Updates and maintains accurate patient information and records.

The successful applicant will have strong time management abilities , fluent in medical terminology, excellent computer skills, and ability to work closely with providers and staff in a high volume, fast paced practice. Ability to work as a team and also self-directed, is a must. Prior experience is preferred. EOE
