Summary

• Position Summary

  • Utilizes radiation to perform screening and diagnostic mammography in addition to image guidance for breast biopsies and DXA exams for the Adult and Geriatric population of patients. The Mammography Technologist will also perform various clerical duties that are pertinent to the daily functioning of the department. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care.

• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: N/A

  • License/Certifications: State of Maine Radiographer license. Advanced certification ARRT (M) within one year of hire required. CPR required.

  • Experience: N/A

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required

  • Must meet all requirements established by Mammography Quality Standards Art (MQSA)

  • Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations

  • Proficient computer skills
