• Position Summary

  • This position will primarily function as a Unit Coordinator, responsible for maintaining optimum patient flow through the department and facilitating the flow of activity of health team members, families, and visitors.  Will also work as Emergency Department Techician II, as an assistant to the Emergency Department Medical Providers and the ED Registered Nurse (RN) in the completion of specific patient care tasks involving neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric patients.

• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Medical secretarial courses including medical terminology preferred.

  • License/Certifications: Successful completion of an accredited Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) program or successful completion of a National Registry approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course (basic or Intermediate/Advanced level). Training or certification in phlebotomy and performing EKGs is highly desirable. Team member must complete and maintain health care provider CPR certification (BCLS).

  • Experience: Computer experience is required with proficiency in data entry.
