Your Role: FMI is seeking a motivated self-starting Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. This is a new position that will primarily be responsible for assisting the Cost Accountant with tracking costs associated with complex contracts including but not limited to: ensuring costs are appropriately allocated to contracts, analyzing performance, and performing ad hoc analysis as requested. Position will also support limited general accounting functions on a periodic basis. Role will require interfacing with program managers, engineers, operations, and senior management.

Performance Requirements of Successful Candidate

In First 60 days this candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Familiarize themselves with companies’ products, production processes & contractual requirements
• Become effective contributor to financial closing cycle
• Take responsibility for routine cost reporting tasks
• Assume responsibility for routine cycle count audits and analytics

In First 90 days this candidate have the chance to:

• Become an effective team player within the accounting department, providing additional capacity where needed
• Assist with ad hoc analysis as requested
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts
• Assist with audit and reporting requirements

First 180 days this candidate will have the ability to:

• Become integrated into key business processes to ensure accuracy of program accounting
• Become subject matter expert on allowable costs
• Be able to produce estimates, analysis, and assist with contract management independently
