Job Status
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blue prints, engineering plans, materials and specifications
- Programs, sets-up and operates mills and lathes by entering instructions and monitoring operations
- Maintains specifications by observing machine operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Calculates requirements using basic math, geometry and trigonometry
- Maintains safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and protocols
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
- Function autonomously and in a team environment
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years experience in the machine tool trade
- 2-year technical college degree a plus
- Experience with horizontal milling machines
- Solid math skills
