Our team, comprised of a large family, natural community supporters and a behaviorist/coach is currently looking for a Direct Support Person for a 27 y.o. man with Autism. The ideal candidate is an out-going person, with Positive Behavioral Support experience and verbal/non-verbal communication skills. The DSP should enjoy year-round outdoor activities as well as supporting an established routine of jobs, volunteering, eating out, hiking, continued educational skills, etc. Training and overlap will be provided as well as ongoing support/training. The position is year round with hours roughly being 7:30 - 3:30. Pay is commensurate with experience and education. Employee benefits i.e. health and mileage reimbursement are available through the area agency. The area agency of Community Bridges is the keeper of records and provider of benefits. We are a Self-Directed Family Program meaning we oversee staff's day to day work, complete reviews, etc.
