Position Overview:

The Service Technician will diagnose vehicle service problems and make necessary repairs and adjustments in a professional, quality manner.

• You have 2 + years of experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance along with diagnosing and repairing automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• You continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver's license and favorable motor vehicle record
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
• Authorized to work in the United States

Essential Functions:

• Perform specific work on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisor and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
