Responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse, which may include but are not limited to safety, sanitation, training, order fulfillment operations, shipping, loading, receiving, inventory control in order to meet customer satisfaction requirements and contractual obligations. This position requires a high degree of communication and supervision of union and non-union employees in a warehouse environment which includes working nights, weekends and Holidays as needed to accomplish company objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES ◦Supervise personnel in multiple sections of the warehouse in support of all phases of order fulfillment and warehouse operations. This includes interviewing, hiring and training, assigning work, evaluating and reviewing performance, initiating salary adjustments and reclassifications, approving leave, approving payroll documents, counseling/discipline, and administering the CBA, consulting with union representatives as appropriate and/or necessary. ◦Assist in the development of employees by identifying and evaluating developmental needs and coaching, mentoring or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skill. ◦Ensures that personnel are meeting or exceeding safety and housekeeping policies and procedures. This position continually monitors safety behaviors and conditions and initiates appropriate timely action to remedy any unsafe situations. Conducts proper investigation protocols as necessary. ◦This position is responsible for constantly monitoring the sanitation conditions of the facility and initiates appropriate timely response to address any unsanitary conditions. ◦Responsible for inspecting and reporting to maintenance and management any damage to building facilities and equipment for repair or replacement. ◦Oversee and prioritize work allocation, transfers, training, and problem resolution during assigned shift. ◦Evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions and motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. ◦Provides products to customers in an efficient and timely manner; arranges for packaging, transportation, and/or delivery of goods. ◦Develops and implements improved methods of materials handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficiency, services, and reduced costs. ◦Conducts periodic or special audits and reconciles physical counts. ◦Develops record keeping procedures and manages appropriate department records in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and standards. ◦Participates in the development of operating goals and objectives for the warehouse; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations. ◦Administer proper distribution of supplies to reduce expense. ◦Communicate appropriate data for preparation of annual budget. ◦Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records and reports to determine productions requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. ◦Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. ◦Conduct shift start meetings communicating to warehouse employees daily status,safety information and sanitation requirements along with general information. ◦Manage the verification, operation and maintenance of inventory for operations including system administration and data input. Responsible for making applicable adjustments to orders or other system corrections. ◦Supervise and enforce the process of loading customer orders ensuring accuracy and good quality of the stacking and bracing to ensure that orders arrive at their destination in good condition for a timely unload process and customer satisfaction. ◦Oversight of any contract labor as well as AGNE personnel. ◦Supervise the receiving, sorting, and checking of incoming product ◦Supervise storage, labeling, and placement of all received product ◦Supervise data entering and maintenance of order fulfillment records including shipping, billing, returns, inventory, and truck mileage charts. ◦Supervise the security and accessibility of the warehouse and its inventory. ◦Plan, organize and coordinate the data entry operations of warehouse activities. ◦May prepare reports and correspondence; design needed forms involved in warehousing process. ◦Prepare and maintain personnel records including vacation and sick leave,daily attendance,FMLA,military leave, time sheets, and payroll records. ◦Recommend appropriate use of employee assistance program when applicable. ◦Supervises the process of recycling and any “green initiatives” the company employs to ensure compliance and trains and educates personnel as required. ◦Performs other duties as assigned or required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE •High school diploma with 3 to 5 years supervisory experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. •Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. •Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. •Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. •Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. •Ability to coach and develop others by identifying developmental needs and coaching, mentoring or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. •Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training and labor relations. •Knowledge of contract documents and specifications. •Knowledge of inventory management practices. •Records maintenance skills. •Skill in the use of computers and related software applications. •Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals. •Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management. •Knowledge of warehousing methodology. •Knowledge of material transport procedures. •Ability to determine product, equipment, and supplies usability.

REPORTING TO THIS POSITION: All Warehouse and Maintenance workers, contract personnel and non-exempt operations support personnel.

NON ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: ◦Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. ◦No or very limited physical effort required. ◦No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
